£5.00
Join us on Monday 26th August to meet Gary and hear about what it’s like to work alongside Ringo. This is an up close and personal event, relating the amazing story of how Gary’s passion for his idol resulted in him becoming part of Ringo’s inner circle with a chance for book-signing and questions.
There have been numerous books written about The Beatles, but not many books written with a Beatle!
When Sir Ringo Starr wanted to document the history of his entire Beatles drum kits and clothing, he knew that his drum curator/historian Gary Astridge was the man for the job.
After a lifetime’s passion of researching, collecting and archiving every detail of Ringo’s drums, it was an honour for Gary to work alongside Ringo in producing surely one of the most comprehensive and beautiful books about a Beatle.
‘Beats and Threads’ combines all the facts you could ever need about each kit (where they were bought, played and even what Ringo wore), with the most amazing quality photos. Truly a definitive record of Ringo’s time with the Beatles.
